Non-Interventional Cardiology
Dr. Thanavaro joined Colorado Heart and Vascular in 2014 after many years on the east coast. A St. Louis native, she earned her undergraduate degree at Princeton University before moving to Washington D.C. to attend medical school at George Washington University, where she graduated with honors. She completed her Internal Medicine training at the University of Maryland and her Cardiology Fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Thanavaro’s interests include preventive cardiology, women’s health, heart failure, echocardiography and nuclear stress testing. She is board certified in general cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
When not working, Dr. Thanavaro enjoys exploring new parks with her dog, traveling and trying new restaurants. She is newly married and working on her cooking skills. She is also an avid Denver Broncos and Avalanche fan.
