Electrophysiology
Dr. Makker is passionate about delivering high-level of care to patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. In addition, he is interested in pursuing his academic research interests to advance the field of Cardiac Electrophysiology further, and to conquer the challenges we face today. Dr. Makker is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Echocardiography. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of California, San Diego. After finishing medical school, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, and Medical Informatics Research Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (New York, NY). He went on to complete his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at the Zucker School of Medicine at Northwell Health – Lenox Hill Hospital & North Shore University Hospital (New York, NY).
Dr. Makker has expertise in performing endocardial and epicardial VT ablation, complex lead extraction, Watchman implant, idiopathic VT/PVC ablation, atrial fibrillation ablation, typical/atypical atrial flutter ablation, SVT ablation, transvenous and subcutaneous ICD implant, biventricular pacemaker implant, his-bundle/LBBB pacemaker implant, and leadless pacemaker implant.
In his spare time, Dr. Makker enjoys skiing and snowboarding, coding/computer programming, and traveling the world.
